The role involves assessing and managing high-risk pregnancies through comprehensive assessments and advanced diagnostic procedures. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide expert care for expectant mothers and their babies.
Candidates must hold an MD degree with a specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine and possess strong clinical skills in managing high-risk pregnancies. Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine is preferred.
This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide expert care to expectant mothers and their babies, ensuring the highest standards of maternal and fetal health.
As a Locum MD in Maternal Fetal Medicine, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing high-risk pregnancies, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the health outcomes of our patients and help maintain our commitment to excellence in maternal care.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with high-risk pregnancies Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of maternal and fetal conditions Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Perform advanced ultrasound and diagnostic procedures Offer counseling and education to patients regarding their conditions Monitor and interpret fetal well-being through various testing methods Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
MD degree with specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine is preferred Associate-level experience in a clinical setting Strong clinical skills in managing high-risk pregnancies Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing compassionate patient care Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Daily Patient Census: 30 OP, 10 IP, and 10 admissions
Support Staff: 2 perinatologists, 3 OB/GYNs, 2 neonatologists, 3 CRNPs, 5 CNMs, NICU in-house midlevel providers
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
