The Caseworker Coach I is an essential member of the Rachel’s Promise Center for Women and Children team and is responsible for ensuring single adult women and women with children are served in clean and safe environments and supported in setting and achieving realistic goals that lead to safe, stable housing. The Caseworker Coach will develop a strong knowledge of community resources and build collaborative working relationships with colleagues within and outside of Catholic Charities. They motivate, support, and guide program residents.
Associate’s degree in human services, social or behavioral sciences, or related field; or at least one year of experience providing shelter services and/or case management to women, children, and families experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or mental illness required. A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow. Well-developed listening skills. Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required, must be able to read, write, and speak English. Successful completion of a background check. Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches to service delivery. Prior knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Housing First, and harm reduction approaches to service delivery a plus. Strong computer skills and ability to become proficient with database software. Must be able to complete training to enter information into Clarity Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Willing and able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate. Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
