What You’ll Do
As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a meaningful role in providing trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate occupational therapy services within a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) serving youth with co-occurring behavioral health conditions and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The OT completes functional and sensory/occupational therapy evaluations, contributes to individualized plans of care, and provides consultative and direct interventions focused on improving daily living skills, self-regulation, adaptive functioning, participation in structured routines, and engagement in treatment. The OT collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team and supports treatment planning, case review, and behavior plan development for youth served.
Minimum Qualification
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s or Doctorate).
Current Occupational Therapist license (State of Ohio) in good standing.
Demonstrated competence in providing OT services relevant to youth with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and co-occurring behavioral health needs.
At least three years of experience supporting behavior plan development and interdisciplinary treatment planning in higher-acuity settings.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (clinical documentation and interdisciplinary communication).
Preferred Qualifications
At least three years of experience working in an occupational therapist role with youth with IDD and/or ASD and co-occurring behavioral health conditions, including in residential, inpatient, or intensive treatment settings.
Training/experience in trauma-informed approaches and sensory/environmental supports for regulation.
