Job Description

Position Overview: The Ultrasound (Sonographer) / Vascular Technologist performs and supervises all acitivies of ultrasound procedures and diagnostic radiology activities at a technical level. The Technologist assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as directed by the Director of Radiology and/ or Operations Managers. Education

Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Diagnostic Sonography.

License

Must be registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Vascular Sonographer (RVS).

Certifications

Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.

Experience

Experience in Diagnostic and Vascular Ultrasound required. Must maintain a minimum of 30 CMEs for the current triennium period in accordance with ARDMS requirements.

Demands:
Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work involves exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves using many physical motions in performing daily work activities; subject to exposure of body fluids, sputum and tissues, which may carry the hazard of infectious disease.
