Chaplain | Pastoral Services | Variable | PRN

Overview

The chaplain will provide spiritual care to patients, families, and others in consultation with members of the health care team. Must be proficient in the use of computers and able to chart patient visits as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• M.Div. or D.Min. from an ATS seminary, 4 units of certified CPE preferred. 1 year chaplaincy experience, ordained or commissioned with ecclesiastical endorsement from a recognized faith group, board certified or eligible within 2 years. Ordained clergy with appropriate education, 1 unit of CPE preferred. 3 years of specialized pastoral experience, and ecclesiastical endorsement from a recognized faith group will be considered for PRN positions on an as needed basis.

• NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
