The Clinic LPN provides primary care nursing and patient education while assisting with health education programs. The Certified Medical Assistant supports the healthcare team and ensures a positive patient experience through clinical and administrative duties.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited practical nursing program or a Medical Assistant program, with relevant nursing experience preferred. Current Iowa LPN licensure or Medical Assistant Certification and BLS or CPR/First Aid certification are required.

The Certified Medical Assistant facilitates quality patient care by providing support to the healthcare team and ensuring a positive patient experience. Under the general supervision of and as delegated by a licensed provider and/or nurse, the CMA performs clinical and administrative duties consistent with their certification, training, and state regulations. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic.

This position operates in a clinical environment, PPE required as indicated.
This position requires occasional sitting –(1%-33% of shift); frequent standing (34% - 66% of shift; occasional walking –(1%-33% of shift); occasional lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. (1% - 33% of shift); frequent pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs.(34%-66% of shift) and occasionally 11lbs. – 100lbs (1% - 33% of shift); frequent use of hands/arms for repetitive movement and continuous finger dexterity; occasional bending/stooping, twisting, squatting/crouching, and reaching at, below and above shoulder level (1% - 33% of shift).
Occasional driving might be expected for this position.
