Sage Recovery & Wellness Center - Austin, 78746 Full-time positions available Job Summary Sage Recovery & Wellness Center is an outpatient recovery center for adults and adolescents struggling with mental health, alcohol or substance abuse; offering Group counseling, couples & family counseling, group therapy and intensive outpatient group therapy programs. Sage is located in Austin, TX approximately one mile west of the Capital of Texas Highway on Bee Caves Rd. in Westlake.
Seeking a Group therapist to work with adults struggling with substance use and/or mental health. Opportunity to work with Adults, adolescents, couples or families available upon request.
Program Therapist Reports to: Clinical Director Position Responsibilities: Facilitate individual and group therapy Conduct psychosocial, diagnostic assessments within the 72 hour intake timeframe Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork including daily treatment notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan updates, progress-based notes, and discharge summaries Help clients develop relapse-preventative plans, promote continuity of care/improvement, and assist in the step-down process from treatment; including, but not limited to, referring clients or family members to community resources or specialists as needed Maintain contact with each client’s professional and personal support system, as needed Counsel family members on how to understand and support your client through their treatment Attend weekly staff meetings, consultation meetings, and on-site trainings at regular intervals Maintain requirements to keep license current (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, LCDC, etc) Provide coverage at the Westlake location as needed for assessments, group therapy, etc Special Skills: Proficiency in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders using evidence-based methodology Knowledge of efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with chronic mental health and substance abuse issues. Knowledge of 12-step and other sober support groups Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral assessments and interventions relevant to mental health conditions, i.e., disease model, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy. Experience/ Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Basic or Intensive Training), a BIG plus. Knowledge of basic psychopharmacology and medical terminology. Familiarity with the stages of change and stages of recovery. Case-management skills and knowledge of local resources for outside referrals. Experience conducting therapeutic groups. Qualifications & Education: Texas master’s license in counseling, or social work (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC, LMFT) Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a plus Degree from an accredited institution, verified by State and/or National boards Experience with substance use, beneficial Hours & Compensation: PRN, Part-time & Full-time positions are available. Pay is based on experience Benefits available for Full-time positions.
Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
