Requires a PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from an AACP accredited college and an active pharmacist license in Michigan. Experience in specialty pharmacy and proficiency with EMR and dispensing systems are highly preferred.
We are currently seeking a Per Diem Specialty Pharmacist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, MI. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of specialty medications, uphold regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional service to patients and staff.
Review and manage specialty medication therapies for complex, chronic, or high-cost conditions Provide patient education and counseling, focusing on adherence, administration, side effects, and outcomes Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers to ensure therapy access and continuity Oversee prior authorizations and utilization management, ensuring compliance with payer and program requirements Monitor effectiveness and safety of therapy, including lab values, adherence metrics, and patient-reported outcomes Ensure compliance with REMS and accreditation standards, including documentation and reporting requirements Support quality initiatives and outcomes reporting, meeting specialty pharmacy performance and regulatory metrics

PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Michigan
Experience in specialty pharmacy highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner or Meditech Proficiency with dispensing systems such as PioneerRx, Willow Ambulatory, QS1, RX30, Computer Rx, etc. along with experience in pharmacy dispensing
