The GI Technician supports endoscopic procedures by preparing and disinfecting equipment and assisting clinical staff during procedures. They are also responsible for patient preparation, post-procedure care, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, completion of Endoscopy Technician Training, and a BLS certification. One year of experience as an Endoscopy/GI Technician in an acute or ambulatory setting is preferred.

Working under the direction of nurses and gastroenterologists, the Endoscopy/GI Technician ensures that all necessary equipment is sterile, operational, and ready for use, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment for patients throughout their procedures.
