Performs various echocardiograph procedures and prepares diagnostic studies for cardiologist interpretation. Responsible for maintaining equipment, reviewing patient medical histories, and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited echocardiography program and a RDCS or RDMS certification. Minimum of one year of experience in echocardiography with Doppler is required, unless waived for current employees.
Under general supervision, performs echocardiograph procedures and prepares study for interpretation by cardiologist. Reviews data and may confer with the appropriate medical personnel. Reviews medical record to identify significant medical history. Supports the philosophy and complies with policies and procedures of the organization at the Cardiology Department.
