The Wound Care Technician supports the clinical team by preparing patient rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with wound dressing removal. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean environment and managing patient appointment flow.
A high school diploma is required, while a CNA license and prior clinical experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and operate electronic medical records software.
Description PRN/Casual Status, No guarantee of hours, flexible scheduling. On an as needed basis to fill in scheduling gaps.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent required/ CNA license preferred but not required. EXPERIENCE: Willing to train the right candidate. Prior experience in a clinical, wound care, or CNA setting preferred but not required. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic technology is preferred. ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL MOTOR SKLLS: Ability to operate computer systems and EMR software, talk in person on the telephone, hear in person and on the telephone, vision for close work, use of photocopier, fax machine, computer. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with patients, clinic staff, physicians, hospital staff, and the general public. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Be able to Lift 50 lbs. Requires setting, walking, standing, ability to be mobile, some bending, stooping, stretching and lifting, Requires eye and hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to move freely within the hospital setting to conduct job duties. ESSENTIAL MENTAL ABILITIES: Ability to process information and to effectively communicate with others. ESSENTIAL SENSORY ABILITIES: Must be able to visually receive and interpret nonverbal communications and to hear spoken communication with others. EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS: Limited exposure to chemicals.
