PRN Registered Nurse (Emergency Department)

• PRN Openings 45 - 60/hr Some Night Shift Required (Shift Differential Applies) Job Summary: Vista Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team.
• As an RN in our ED, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
• You will assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Key Responsibilities: Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
• Provide critical interventions for trauma, cardiac, and other life-threatening emergencies.
• Monitor patients' conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications

Current RN license in the State of Illinois (or compact state eligibility). TNCC, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (Emergency Department or Critical Care required). Ability to work night shift and day shift as required.
