Job description

Mountain View Veterinary Clinic is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our practice in Central Point, Oregon.
Starting Salary: $19-20 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications and licensure Schedule: 4/10's - variable days based on business days.
May include weekends.

Who you are: Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting required Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with animals and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories Perform basic exam procedures Skilled in venipuncture/blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning Comfortable with monitoring general anesthesia and surgical assisting, post-operative care and recovery Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines Excellent client communication/education Adaptable to new ways of working with current medical team and doctors If you are that Veterinary Assistant who is looking for an exciting, no day ever the same, fast-paced, fun, energetic vet hospital then we look forward to hearing from you!
