The Medical Technologist performs all laboratory procedures, including testing, calibration, and quality control. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Candidates must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent training. ASCP or HEW certification is required or must be obtained shortly after hire, along with BLS certification.
The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing all procedures processed at the InterMed Lab. Must be able to understand all necessary functions of the LIS and EMR systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution
• ASCP certification (MT, MLS, or MLT) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months from date of hire
