Performs basic patient care activities and unit support tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and managing the tech desk to support department throughput.
Requires a BCLS certification and CNA certification, with a high school diploma and SRNA or EMT license preferred. Candidates must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to complete a Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), performs basic patient care activities and unit support tasks to promote safe, efficient care and patient throughput. Assists with activities of daily living, routine monitoring, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment; supports nursing/physician staff and tech desk operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. FLSA: Non-Exempt.

Occupational exposure may be present for all employees in this role.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, keyboard entry, repetitive movements, kneeling, and lifting/moving patients; occasional sitting and squatting; rare running or climbing. Near/far vision and depth perception frequent/constant; color distinction frequent.
Occasional exposure to biohazardous waste, communicable diseases/pathogens, dust, gases/vapors/fumes, and hazardous chemicals/medications; latex exposure frequent.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High School diploma preferred.
SRNA or EMT preferred.
CNA certification, BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
