Perform routine and non-routine research experiments and biological assays under general supervision. Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and ensure compliance with animal and environmental safety standards.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in basic science with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree in a related field. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Spanish and experience working with diverse groups or in behavioral science.

Performs a variety of routine and non-routine research assignments and experiments and assists with lab maintenance responsibilities. Job Duties: Under general supervision, performs routine and non-routine research assignments and experiments of moderate complexity. Plans, coordinates, provides setup and conducts standard research experiments following general technical instructions. Prepares biological assays and conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis. Makes modifications to research procedures as determined by Principal Investigator. Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected and provides preliminary analysis of results. Assists in the compilation and tabulation of data and analysis of final data. Ensures the accurate assembly, calibration, operation and modification of a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines. Maintains lab for animal and environmental safety compliance. Maintains lab inventory of supplies and equipment. Performs literature searches as outlined by the Principal Investigator. May provide guidance to junior research staff. Adheres to internal controls established for department.. Performs related duties as required. Written and Spoken proficiency in Spanish. Experience in Behavioral Science or research or related field. Experience working with ethnically/culturally diverse groups. Function well as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness/ability to engage openly and effectively with youth. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver prolonged speaking engagements, effective presentations and training seminars for various learner levels. Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment.
