Perform a variety of laboratory tests across multiple departments to produce reliable results for clinician diagnosis and treatment. Apply professional judgment and clinical laboratory science theories to evaluate quality control data.
Requires an associate's degree as an MLT or 60 semester hours of college for MTs, with ASCP or AMT registration/eligibility. Must be physically capable of lifting 30 pounds and performing a full range of body motions.
Medical Technologist: Must have at least sixty semester hours of college with training in a certified Medical Technology training program. Must be currently registered or eligible by ASCP or AMT. Medical Laboratory Technician: Must have an associate’s degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician and be registered or eligible by ASCP or AMT. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
