The Nonsterile Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate compounding and distribution of nonsterile medications in adherence to USP <795> standards. This includes verifying prescriptions, collaborating with technicians, and researching new formulations to improve patient care.
Candidates must hold a Pharm.D. degree and an active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license with at least one year of professional experience in sterile pharmacy practice. Expert proficiency in USP <795> and cGMP regulations is required, with IV certification strongly preferred.

Summary: The Verification Pharmacist will be responsible for, but not limited to, collaborating closely
with pharmacy technicians to ensure the safe and accurate compounding and distribution
of medications. This role requires expert knowledge in compounding practices and direct
adherence to all regulatory standards (USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>), directly
impacting patient well-being across diverse demographics.
Key Responsibilities: ● Compound prescriptions with precision and care, strictly adhering to USP <795>,
USP <797>, and USP <800> and other relevant regulatory standards
● Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure timely and accurate medication
verification and distributions
● Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to manage high volume orders (3,800
prescriptions/day), records, and compounding workflow
● Oversee and replenish medication supplies, managing inventory related to
products
● Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree preferred
● Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License issued by the Texas State Board of
Pharmacy (TSBP)
● Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy
● Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and
effective communication skills for team collaboration
Preferred Requirements: ● Retail pharmacy strongly experience preferred
● IV Certification ( recommended)
● Proficient in USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800>
Physical Requirements: ● Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
● Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting
● Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels
