Registered Nurse (RN) Starting salary is based on experience - Bonuses/Stipends as well as a generous benefits package including medical, dental, life, std, ltd, 401k/pension, tuition reimbursement, convenient, free parking, etc.

• Provides professional nursing care for Hematology-Oncology Associates' patients following established standards and practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process, direction from clinicians within the scope of nursing practice.
• Prepares equipment and aids physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition in the EMR.
• Oversees appointment bookings and ensures preference are given to patients in emergency situations.
• Maintains timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination.
• Screens patients for appropriate information.
• Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
• Arranges for patient home care and hospice care, testing and admission as necessary.
• Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Follows triage algorithms when applicable.
• Recognize normal and abnormal laboratory findings and the pathology involved.
• Documents and maintains the above information in patients charts.
• Other duties as requested.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Experience: Professional nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred. Certificate/License: Possession of a New York State Registered Nurse license.
