TITLE: Nurse Practitioner
Work area: Outpatient behavioral health office
Under the direction of the Nurse Practitioner Supervisor, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide comprehensive behavioral health care to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing mental health disorders. Responsibilities encompass assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while proactively identifying risk factors associated with these conditions. Utilizing their expertise and clinical knowledge, the NP will contribute to the development of personalized care plans and collaborate with care team members to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care. This interdisciplinary collaboration is essential to achieving optimal outcomes for clients and fostering a supportive environment where their mental well-being can thrive.
Tasks with actual blood/body fluid exposure are not included in this position’s duties as the job requires therapeutic counseling only.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited university.
Board of Nursing licensure - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Active DEA required.
A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a behavioral health environment. A thorough knowledge of billing and coding guidelines is essential.
This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours. Requires sitting for extended periods of time, viewing computer monitors, and
keyboarding.
Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate professionally via telephone and in writing. Strong grammar and writing skills are crucial for clear and concise communication with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to interact and assist in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner with colleagues, providers, clients, and their families, as they represent both themselves and Path Behavioral Healthcare.
Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Candidates must achieve competency in the Electronic Health
Record (EHR) program, telemedicine services, and any additional software programs utilized by Path, ensuring efficient access and updating of client information. The role requires fine
dexterity, adept handling, and proficient gripping abilities to perform various tasks.
The candidate must pass all federal and state background checks, and their educational and work history will be confirmed in compliance with company policies.
