Responsibilities

In this role the EEG Tech will perform the following job duties

Neurodiagnostic procedures, under the supervision of the Director, Lead Technologist and staff physicians. As advanced competencies are completed, the technician may perform more advanced procedures (Neonatal EEG, EP, ICU-LTM, GRIDS, WADA, NCV, EMG). This position trains to become a Technologist in all aspects of Neurodiagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High School graduate. 2 to 4 years' college preferred but not required. Graduation from a CAHEEP approve ENT training program highly desirable. If candidate does not have college then OJT position at a large hospital with demonstrated competencies may be considered as substitute for END program. Candidate must have at least one of the four END modality registries to be considered (REEGT, REPT, RNCST, RPSGT). CLTM and/or CNIM are highly desirable. Ideal candidate must be a highly self-motivated and able to work alone without direction. Candidate must also be capable of assuming a leadership role when required. C-LTM monitoring will be required to be obtained within 18 months after hire in order to maintain position for EMU work.
