The Pharmacy Technician supports oncology pharmacists and nursing staff by accurately preparing sterile IV products and hazardous agents. They are also responsible for managing medication inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in quality improvement processes.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, CPhT certification, and at least two years of experience in an inpatient or infusion pharmacy setting. Proficiency in USP 800 and ASHP guidelines is required, with a mandate to obtain hazardous drug compounding certification within one year.
