Requires a professional nursing degree, a current MN Registered Nurse license, and BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in nursing and at least one year of relevant experience are preferred.
We are currently hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Orthopedic/Surgical unit. This position is a .6 FTE straight Night shifts. 8-hour shifts M-F and 12 hour shifts every third weekends. Current RN License Required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience is preferred.
An RN position in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Gillette Children's involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients under 18 who are recovering from surgery and require an inpatient stay of one or more nights. In addition to post-surgical care, nurses in this unit also care for non-surgical patients needing medical treatment that requires a short hospital stay. RNs in this role collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage pain, wound care, and recovery, while also educating families about the treatment process. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care.
This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.
Compensation & Benefits Information
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $41.22-70.45. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field, education, and certification/licensure: $1.75 weekend/ $2.35 evening/ $4.00 night differential is available for this position. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.
