Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology and CT imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Responsible for operating radiographic equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring optimal image quality and radiation safety.
Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of CT experience or one year in a specialty with ARRT certification. Must hold California certifications for Radiologic Technology, Fluoroscopy, and Venipuncture, as well as Basic Life Support certification.
Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, performs radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Operates the radiographic equipment to produce radiographic recorded images of the body. Performs technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.
