Operate respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases under physician orders. Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of technical procedures and hemodynamics care.
Must be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited program and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible. Requires a current Oklahoma state license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 18 months.
Under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Team Lead and as ordered by physicians, sets up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases. As a member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist works collaboratively with the other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care. In addition, the Respiratory Therapist performs a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics to comprehensively serve patient needs. Work done is outlined by established practice guidelines. Therapist will perform all work with accord to the mission and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
