Produces radiographs of various body parts according to physician requests and maintains quality assurance on radiological equipment. Responsible for patient preparation, timing, positioning, and managing radiology paperwork and supplies.
Requires a graduate degree from an approved two-year radiologic technology program. Must hold current licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) from the Texas Medical Board and certification from the ARRT.
Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician’s request. Position Key Accountabilities: Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results. Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist. Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment. Prepares patient for radiographic procedures. Assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques. Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork. Maintains inventory supplies, coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic. Must be able to respond to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.
