We pride ourselves in community integration with the support we provide through various programs, which include, eight residential settings, day programs, habilitation, and group supported employment. New Horizons is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with lifelong disabilities to enjoy life by promoting abilities and respecting personal choice.

• Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the daily needs of members are met, including personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs, including supervision of medication.
• Assists members with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of participant's choosing.
• Ensures that individuals are treated with dignity and consideration at all times. Promotes and safeguards each participant's ability to make decisions and to freely exercise his or her rights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record -21+ years of age
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions, indoors/outdoors
