Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, or designee, the Research Associate I will perform a variety of research experiments.
The van den Brink Laboratory, is a transplant and CAR T cell immunology laboratory at City of Hope.
The lab has an outstanding academic environment focused on immunology, microbiota and bone marrow transplantation and has a strong track record of research associates subsequently attending medical school or other academic opportunities.
As a successful candidate, you will: Utilize laboratory equipment and established protocols to perform a variety of research experiments.
Record and validate results for accuracy and completeness.
May modify protocols.
Write standard operating procedures and reports.
Maintain records of work performed, including results and methodology; utilizing records may calculate, graph, and compile data.
Develop techniques and expertise in one or more areas relevant to laboratory research projects.
Ensure that all laboratory activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
Your qualifications should include
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience. The team is targeting a 2-year commitment.
