Provide professional and compassionate nursing care to terminal patients and their families in inpatient and hospital settings. Responsibilities include symptom management, end-of-life support, and implementing physician-ordered care plans.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and hold a current Kentucky Registered Nurse license. Preferred qualifications include two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or critical care, and current CPR certification.
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends, dayshift and nightshift
The Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients and their families within the inpatient hospice unit and hospital settings. The RN delivers care in accordance with physician orders, the hospice plan of care, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, including symptom management, end-of-life support, and patient/family education. Position Qualifications: · Graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing. · Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing. · Minimum of two (2) years of general nursing experience preferred; hospice, home health, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred. · Demonstrated experience in pain management; IV therapy skills preferred. · Demonstrates clinical competence and the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with patients and families while respecting diverse lifestyles and beliefs. · Maintains current CPR certification · Self-directed with the ability to work independently while exercising appropriate judgment.
