Perform preliminary screening examinations and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient eye problems. Assist physicians with contact lens fitting, minor office surgeries, and the maintenance of ophthalmic instruments.
Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training is required. Candidates must hold certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician from the JCAHPO.
