The Physician Assistant will autonomously and collaboratively treat and manage patient health problems through comprehensive assessments and diagnoses. Responsibilities include developing care plans, utilizing prescriptive authority, and providing clinical leadership within the Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery department.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited physician assistant program and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a primary care setting and computer literacy are required.
Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patient's health problems and serve in various settings as researchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
A graduate of a accredited physician assistant training program and has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
Minimum: 1 year clinical experience functioning in the Physician Assistant role in a primary care setting
