Mental Health Worker / Professional

Position Overview

• We are looking for community-based in-home Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals (counselors).
• George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare is committed to assisting families in establishing safety, permanency, stability and well-being.
• The Counselor in this distinct, community-based position will provide services and trauma informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred throughout the county for Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation.
• The Counselor will provide services within the community, schools and homes.
• Evidence based practices and various treatment modalities will be utilized to engage families.
• Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs and other community support organizations is a priority for the counselor in this position.

Requirements

• Mental Health Worker (counselor): Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Mental Health Professional (counselor): Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Professional licensure preferred
• Must live in/near the county
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation
• Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearances
• Able to work a non-traditional schedule
