Conduct interviews and complete SAFE Home Study assessments for prospective foster parents. Provide advocacy and support to youth and families to achieve targeted goals.
Requires a Master's degree in Social Work or a similar field and active SAFE certification in Wisconsin. Candidates must have IMPACT training and reside within 30 minutes of Kenosha, WI.
$40.00 per hour
Master’s degree in Social Work or similar field from an accredited college or university. SAFE Home Study certification required in the state of Wisconsin. 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred. Knowledgeable of foster care rules and the services provided by the National Youth Advocate Program. Must meet one of the following Wisconsin social service staff qualifications: A Master’s degree in Social Work; or one year of graduate work in an accredited graduate school of social work (or equivalent) and at least two years of supervised experience in family or child welfare; or college graduation and at least three years of supervised experience in family and child welfare, including 12 graduate credits in social work and approved in-service training. College graduates who do not meet the above qualifications may also be considered if they possess a minimum of 15 credit hours in the social sciences and complete an approved in-service training program within two years, in accordance with Wisconsin regulations. Other Skills Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record. 100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury required for car insurance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
