The technologist is responsible for operating a mobile mammography coach to obtain diagnostic radiographs and performing imaging services at various clinic locations. Duties include utilizing RIS and PACS systems and potentially performing DEXA studies and stereotactic biopsies.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology school with ARRT (R)(M) and MRT-General certifications. A valid Texas Driver's License and at least 2 years of mammography experience (or 1 year of KSC experience) are required.
High School diploma or GED Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology ARRT (R)(M) MRT- General Certificate BLS through American Heart Association 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ years of KSC experience in x-ray and/or SCNB experience Ability to travel/drive with mobile mammography coach to any location (within the Houston area) as scheduled Valid Texas Driver’s License, access to reliable transportation and insurable driving record Proven working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
