The physician will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage acute and chronic eye conditions, and perform surgical interventions. They are also responsible for interpreting diagnostic tests and collaborating with other healthcare providers for coordinated patient care.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an accredited Ophthalmology residency program. They must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and possess an active California state medical license.
Opportunity Information Sutter North Medical Group (SNMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC General Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic team in Yuba City, CA. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and detect eye diseases or abnormalities Diagnose and manage acute and chronic eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, laser treatments, and other ophthalmologic interventions (if applicable to subspecialty) Prescribe medications and corrective lenses as needed Interpret diagnostic testing results (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography) Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and preventive measures Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Collaborate with optometrists, primary care providers, and other specialists for coordinated patient care Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology through continuing education
