Provides direct psychiatric patient care, including monitoring vital signs, observing behavior, and ensuring a safe environment under RN supervision. Responsible for patient safety checks, de-escalation, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certifications in CPR and a hospital-selected de-escalation technique. Previous healthcare experience is required, with one year of behavioral health experience preferred.
