Operates and maintains MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for physician diagnosis of pathologies. Collaborates with physicians to establish and implement scan protocols.
Requires completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and MRI program with ARRT certification and Connecticut state licensure. BLS/CPR certification is required, and cardiac experience is preferred.
Functions under the direction of the MRI Team Leader and Assistant Manager of Radiology. Operates and maintains a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to obtain quality images from patients with optimal demonstration of anatomic region which are used by physicians to diagnose the nature and extent of designated pathologies. Participates in the establishment of scan protocol, under the supervision of a Physician.
