Registered Veterinary Technician - Cardiology

About the Role

Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. In addition to veterinary technician skills such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, technicians in the Cardiology department will be responsible for the following: What You Will Bring Assist veterinarians and cardiologists with: Echocardiograms ECG placement and monitoring Blood pressure monitoring Holter monitor placement and client education Sedation and anesthesia support Interventional cardiology procedures Prepare and maintain sterile procedure areas and specialized equipment Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and medication administration Provide compassionate client communication and education Accurately maintain medical records and treatment documentation Collaborate closely with specialty, ER, anesthesia, and ICU teams About You Registered Veterinary Technician required 2+ years working as a veterinary technician Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun Compensation & Schedule Salary: $30.00 – $38.00/hour, dependent on experience Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM Benefits and Compensation Highly competitive salary based on experience Sign-on bonus Mental health support with Talkspace Continuing education support with CE allowance and PTO Reimbursement of membership and licensure fees 401(k) retirement plan options with company match Medical, vision, and dental insurance options — some plans may be paid up to 100% Basic life insurance provided and other voluntary insurance options available for full-time team members 6 weeks paid parental leave for full-time team members Paid time off and time to enjoy it Double pay for holidays Commuter benefits In-house fun committee Location 1 Thorndale Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903 Base Pay $30—$38 USD Veritas Veterinary Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
