Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to examine tissue and body structures, providing high-quality images for interpretation. Responsible for equipment setup, safety standard implementation, and ensuring prompt submission of images to PACS.
Requires completion of a Sonography program and at least two ARDMS/CCI registries in specialties such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Echo, or Vascular. Must hold a Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
