Responsible for assisting providers with patient care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and performing clinical procedures. Additionally, handles administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, chart management in EPIC, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assistant, phlebotomy, CNA, EMT, or paramedic program. Minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, though new graduates from accredited MA programs will be considered.

Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the practice services. High School diploma or equivalent required. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduation from an accredited medical assistant (MA) certificate program or Phlebotomy program, certification as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), emergency medical technician (EMT), or paramedic. Employees who join YNHHS through a merger or acquisition may satisfy educational requirements by demonstrating the appropriate combination of education, relevant experience, and current competencies.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a medical assistant (MA), certified nursing assistant (CNA), emergency medical technician (EMT), ambulatory care associate (ACA), patient care associate/technician (PCA/PCT), paramedic, or phlebotomist required. New graduates from an accredited medical assistant certificate program, with less than one (1) year of experience, will be considered.
Certification/registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred. Certification/registration may be accepted in lieu of graduation from an accredited MA school. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
Ability to follow directions effectively and consistently. Demonstrates a mature, compassionate, and caring attitude, with sensitivity to the diverse needs of the patient population. Flexible and cooperative, with the capacity to adapt to changing demands of the role. Utilizes appropriate communication techniques to meet position requirements and foster positive interactions.
