The Medical Assistant supports physicians and nurses by managing patient flow, recording vital signs, and assisting during examinations. They are also responsible for sterilizing equipment, performing digital imaging, and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Medical Assistant certification (such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA is required within 30 days of hire.
The Medical Assistant maintains department patient care supplies, ensures timely flow of patients, and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families.
