Assess, plan, and implement patient care for individuals recovering from surgery or managing chronic illnesses. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor vital signs, administer medications, and provide patient education.
Requires a current Registered Nurse (RN) license, a nursing degree, and BLS certification. Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing and ACLS certification are preferred.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in their condition promptly. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and health management.
The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patients' conditions and determine appropriate interventions. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients and families about care plans. Time management and organizational skills will help you prioritize tasks in a busy environment, ensuring that all patients receive timely care. Critical thinking skills will be necessary for making quick decisions in response to changes in patient status. Preferred skills, such as proficiency in EHR systems, will enhance your ability to document care accurately and efficiently, contributing to seamless patient care.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Degree in Nursing Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. ACLS
