Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Stony Point Dermatology - Days

• The Dermatology Clinic at Stony Point cares for dermatology patients across all ages with varying disease processes from acne to transplant patients to skin cancer cases.
• Our clinic provides skin services such as phototherapy, blue light therapy and Mohs surgery.
• All of our clinical staff, RNs, LPN and CMAs, completes the Certified Dermatology Tech course and has the opportunity to work in the clinic’s surgical area with our Mohs surgeon.
• Our surgical nurses are also being trained to do local anesthesia numbing, a training that will continue to expand to other nursing staff!
• Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with morning and afternoon clinic hours offering several options for scheduling.
• Our team members enjoy free onsite parking at our Stony Point campus.
• The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family.
• This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
• This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
• The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
• This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions." Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Licensure, certification or registration varies depending on the incumbent`s employment background and transitional assignment; LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current LPN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS Certification or equivalent Experience REQUIRED: Varies based on transitional duty assignment.
• Experience PREFERRED: Experience as a LPN in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice Education/training REQUIRED: Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing Education/training PREFERRED: N/A Independent action(s) required: Follows documented physician/licensed independent provider orders, standards, and practice guidelines such as treatments and organizes work to carry out assignment.
