The Registered Nurse provides professional care to a group of patients using the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities include performing initial physiological and psychosocial assessments and formulating overall plans of care.
Candidates must hold a current California RN License and certifications in BLS Level C, ACLS, and PALS. A minimum of two years of experience in PACU or critical care, or an approved PACU training course, is required.
Overview The experienced staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
Provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admission and shift assessment within 2 (two) hours if coming on duty. The RN shall, for their patients, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.
Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification. Current ACLS and PALS certifications. Two years of PACU or critical care experience and/or approved PACU RN training course.
