The Medical Assistant coordinates patient care by preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, and assisting providers with clinical procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining exam room standards, managing medical supplies, and facilitating communication between patients and providers.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and BLS certification are preferred. Candidates should ideally have one to two years of experience in a healthcare setting with proficiency in EMR systems.
The Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
• BLS certification preferred.
