Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI is seeking a Human Service Professional to join our team at Gaining Ground, a resource center dedicated to providing a safe, stigma‑free environment for individuals living with mental illness and those experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to deliver trauma‑informed, recovery‑focused services that help individuals gain stability and become active members of the community.
If you have experience supporting individuals in crisis — including those navigating homelessness, mental health challenges, or the criminal justice system — we strongly encourage you to apply.
In this role, you will provide professional human services to individuals and groups across a variety of settings, including community locations, shelters, jails, offices, and schools. Services may be delivered in person or through audio/visual platforms.
You’ll collaborate with clients and service teams, maintain accurate documentation, apply evidence‑based practices, and help individuals build independence and stability.
Bachelor’s degree in a human services–related field (examples include Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Sociology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, and others). Degrees not listed may require transcript review.
