Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in PMHNP, be board certified, and possess an active Utah APRN license. A minimum of two years of post-training independent clinical experience is preferred.
Description Tanner Clinic, a physician-owned multispecialty medical group, is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing and dynamic Behavioral Health Department. We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive, evidence-based, and compassionate mental health care to patients across the lifespan. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician who values collaboration, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care.
The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, though applicants primarily focused on adult psychiatry are also encouraged to apply. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, dietitians, and other behavioral health professionals within a highly integrated behavioral health program.
In addition to traditional outpatient psychiatric care, the PMHNP will participate in Tanner Clinic's Center for Advanced Mood Treatment, including oversight and management of patients receiving Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), IV ketamine therapy, and Spravato (esketamine) treatments. Prior experience with these treatment modalities is preferred but not required; however, applicants must be comfortable learning and participating in these services.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up care Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, therapists, and other healthcare providers Manage psychiatric care for patients across the lifespan; experience treating children and adolescents is preferred Participate in the evaluation and ongoing management of patients receiving TMS, IV ketamine, and Spravato treatments Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated patient care Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and clinical development activities Provide patient and family education regarding psychiatric diagnoses, medications, and treatment options Maintain compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards
Education: Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Experience: Two or more years of post-training PMHNP experience Experience treating children, adolescents, and adults Prior experience with TMS, ketamine, Spravato, or other interventional psychiatry treatments Experience working within a multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health setting
