RN - Psych Acute - Mercy San Diego - Part-Time

• This is a Part-Time position (40 hours per pay period) with 8-hour day shifts on various days of the week, including weekend and holiday rotation.
• This position requires working every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year.

• We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses in the 36-bed Psychiatric Acute Unit where the RNs are responsible for: Providing direct patient care, observation and management of behavioral health patients.
• Assessment, plan and implement care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• Takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team.
• Manage de-escalation of behavioral disturbances

Preferred Experience/Education/Specialized Skills

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Previous RN experience in Behavioral

• Skills: 1 year experience. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
