The Medical Assistant provides exceptional patient care by assisting medical staff with examinations, treatments, and laboratory procedures. They are also responsible for real-time scribing of patient encounters and managing medical records within the EMR system.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and professional certification. Strong communication skills and proficiency in electronic medical records are required.
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff.
Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and treatment Obtain and record patient medical history and vital signs Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures Accurately scribe patient encounters in real time and document medical histories, physical examinations, treatment plans, and physician notes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow Provide patient education and support
High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a Medical Assistant program Certification as a Medical Assistant Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
