RN, Immunology Infusion Unit

• Department Overview The Ambulatory Infusion Clinics provide infusion and injection services to patients referred from a variety of specialties including Rheumatology, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology and other non-oncology service lines.
• The infusion staff work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidenced-based, patient centered nursing care.
• The ten ambulatory non-oncology infusion chairs at the Center for Health & Healing 1 and six chairs at Immunology infusion Physicians Pavilion are open Monday to Friday.
• Function/Duties of Position The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations.
• The RN’s care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics and meets the standards/expectations of a Professional Practice Model.
• In that model, the RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist, leader, practitioner, and knowledge transferor.
• Professional accountability enriches the RN’s engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making, innovation, life-long learning, and teamwork.
• Required Qualifications Completion of Infusion Nursing Society Fundamentals of Infusion therapy (FIT) modules certification during orientation period Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.
• ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date.
• Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License Valid driver's license BLS from AHA required.
• New hires will be enrolled and required to complete during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous infusion experience preferred. CRNI INS Membership preferred Additional Details Length of Orientation – Experienced Nurse External candidates: OHSU & Nursing New Employee Orientation (NEO) for about a week. Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Specialty Fellowship/Fellowship Learning Pathway or Orientation experience for 3 days-26 weeks depending on the care area.
